Dear Friends of the Nazarene,
We choose Matthew 9:1 as the theme verse of chapter nine – More Miracles and Preaching. Jesus forgives and then heals a paralytic. [1-8] The Pharisees accuse Jesus when he calls Matthew. [9-13] Jesus teaches the disciples of John the Baptist about a bridegroom and fasting. [14-17] A woman is cured on the way to raise a ruler’s daughter. [18-26] Blind men are healed. [27-31] A speechless demoniac is healed. [32-34] Jesus launches a preaching tour in a great harvest. [35-38]
