Locate verse: Type a verse reference like 'Romans 10:9' or abbreviated 'Rm 10:9'. By just typing the verse one can jump to the corresponding verse on the active page (only works if the current page displays a chapter). If a chapter and a verse is entered without a book, the current selected book is assumed. Providing only the name of a book will bring one to the chapter index of that book. Examples (without the quotes): '1 Tim 3:16', 'Rv 1:8', 'Matthew 5', '3:16', '8', 'Phm'.

PSALMS (1-24, 26)

PSALM 11:
YEHOWAH EXAMINES

[A hymn of David]

PS11:1 I seek refuge in Yehowah. How can you tell me, “Flee like a little bird into the mountains.” PS11:2 For look, the lawless string the bow. They slot their arrow on the bowstring. They shoot in darkness at those upright in heart. PS11:3 When foundations 72 are torn down, what will the law-abiding person do?
72 Foundations: Or, MOF: the pillars of the State are falling: what can a just man do; TAY: law and order have collapsed.
PS11:4 Yehowah is in His holy sanctuary. As for Yehowah His throne is in the Celestialum. His eyes observe. His gaze examines 73 the sons of Adam. 74
73 His gaze examines: Or, eyelids; surveys, searching glance, closely watch.
74 Sons of Adam: The Hebrew is `A-DHAM’.
PS11:5 Yehowah examines the law-abiding and the lawless. But the lawless person and the lover of violence His soul hates. PS11:6 He will rain upon the lawless burning coals. Fire and sulphur in a burning wind is their lot. PS11:7 For Yehowah is just and He loves law-abiding conduct. The upright will behold His face.
